Competitive Grants Program »
The Western Center administers a competitive grants program in conjunction with the Northeast, North Central and Southern Centers once a year. This funding opportunity is announced annually on or around November 1, and invites applicants to submit proposals for projects that will train farm and ranch families to manage their economic viability through targeted risk management strategies.

The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) of 2009 reauthorized and modified the Trade Adjustment Assistance (TAA) for Farmers program. The TAA for Farmers program helps producers of raw agricultural commodities and fishermen adjust to a changing economic environment associated with import competition through technical assistance and cash benefits.
