The
approach of the Center is proactive without being directive. Our approach
is not to concentrate resources at the Center location. The plan outlined
for facilitating public-partnerships and building RME capacity for
tribal audiences are key indicators of our decentralized and extensive
approach to getting the job done.
Individuals
within the region are invited to participate in Center led activities
and discussions. Area educators are strongly encouraged to increase
their focus on results, develop programs and materials especially
suited for minority audiences. Educators are working to understand
how they will benefit from the expansion of their efforts. Individuals
and groups not normally within the circle of influence of RME but
having insights and talents to offer are being actively recruited
to participate in RME in the region.
