The goal of the Western Regional RME Center (hereafter referred to as "The Center or Center") is: Agricultural producers and their families from across the western region who are reached by Center projects will be in a better position to succeed through the development of improved risk management skills made possible through the programs conducted or funded by the Center.

Objective 1: Provide leadership and coordination for RME programs in the region.

Objective 2a: Insure that Regional RME Programs and Resources are available to all agricultural producer audiences and their families whether defined by financial size, crops raised, by ethnic origin, or geographic region, and that materials and programs are culturally appropriate

Objective 2b: Increase the capacity of organizations serving tribal members to develop and deliver effective RME programs and to be in a position to compete for Regional RME funds.

Objective 3: Make effective use of an Advisory Council to focus the efforts of the Regional Center to improve the desired results of RME programs in the region, and to evaluate grant applications consistent with the priorities established for the region and on their potential effectiveness to reach the goal of improved producer risk management skills, and consistency with all applicable federal requirements.

Objective 4: Develop and implement a regional competitive process for selection of regional projects that can demonstrate their potential to improve the risk management skills of agricultural producers and their families.

Objective 5: Facilitate effective public-private and other partnerships to increase the effectiveness of RME programs.

Objective 6: Promote and conduct activities that create an environment supporting collaboration, the willingness and ability to respond to emerging issues and improve results, efficient and timely program delivery, and risk management curriculum development, all focused on producer success.

Objective 7: Establish a results verification program that not only provides results information but that can be used to further improve programs and more effectively target resources to create results critical to producer risk management success.
